PLEASE ENSURE YOU FILL IN YOUR INFORMATION ON YOUR PORTAL AND CONFIRM YOUR DOG CAN BE OFF THE LEAD FOR THE INSURANCE. PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT BELOW.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW. YOU WILL AGREE TO THESE TERMS IF YOU USE OUR SERVICES. .

 

Whereas the Owner (client) wishes to engage the Walker and the Walker agrees to undertake the services under the terms and provisions defined in this Dog Walking Contract as well as the Pet and Owner's information(s) and the Veterinary Release Form which shall all become part of this Contract. Any reference to dogs or pets in this contract shall refer to those specified on the Pet Information sheet(s) on Petsitter Plus (Client Portal).

 

The main contact on the Client Portal will be the signatory for the contract. 

 

Cancellation or Early Termination

·      Either party may terminate this Dog Walking Contract a minimum of 24 (twenty-four) hours prior to the first scheduled visit without incurring penalties or damages.

·      Cancellation by the Owner of scheduled walks with less than 24 hrs notice may be charged at the full rate or rescheduled at the discretion of the Walker.

·      Should any dog become aggressive or dangerous, the Walker may terminate this dog walking contract with immediate effect.

·      Any wrongful or misleading information in the Pet and Owner's information sheets may constitute a breach of terms of this Dog Walking Contract and be grounds for instant termination thereof.

·      Upon cancellation of walks, the client agrees to not contact dog walkers that have been employed by the company in the last 24 months.

 

Liability

·      The Walker accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Owner’s property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement.

·      The Walker shall not be liable for any mishap of whatsoever nature which may befall a dog or caused by a dog who has unsupervised access to the outdoors.

·      The Owner shall be liable for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the Walker caused by the dog as well as damage to the Owner’s property.

·      The Walker is released from all liability related to transporting dog(s) to and from any veterinary clinic or kennel, the medical treatment of the dog(s) and the expense thereof.

 

Indemnification

The Owner will not blame and payback the Walker against any and all costs, expenses, losses, liabilities and claims arising from said dogs’ behaviour unless the dog walker is wilful or negligent.

 

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, the Walker shall contact the Owner at the numbers provided to confirm the Owner’s choice of action. If the Owner cannot be reached timeously, the Walker is authorised to:

·      Transport the dog(s) to the listed veterinarian, possibly not your own in an emergency.

·      Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian.

·      Transport the dog(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible.

 

Security

The Walker warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, remote control entry devices, access codes and personal information of the Owner and to return same to the Owner at the end of the contract period or immediately upon demand.

We reserve the right to terminate this contract at any time if the walker, in their sole discretion, determines that the Client’s pet(s) poses a danger to the health or safety of itself, other pets, other people or the Pet Sitter. If concerns prohibit the Pet Sitter from caring for the pet, Pet Sitting Company will attempt to contact to contact the Client to arrange alternative care. If the Client cannot be contacted, the Client authorises Dog Walking Company to place the pet in a licensed kennel with all charges and fees arising to be the responsibility of the Client.

 

Safety and Equipment

The Owner agrees to provide all suitable equipment for walking the dog as requested. This includes a collar and harness both with an up-to-date name tag on to ensure the safety of the dog for walking and transportation. A well-fitting muzzle must be supplied upon request if it is deemed as necessary by the dog walker.

 

Assignment

No party may assign any of its rights or delegate or assign any of its obligations in terms of this Dog Walking Contract without the prior written consent of the other party, except where otherwise stated.

 

Walking dogs off lead

The Walker has permission to walk the dog(s) off lead. By doing so, the Walker agrees to only walk the dog(s) off lead at safe and appropriate times and places.

 

Price Increases

Prices will be updated on the website. We reserve the rights to increase the standard rate fees. New clients will immediately go onto the new website prices, current clients will have a minimum of 3 months from the prices advertised on the Website. Price increases are normally emailed to clients.

 

Payments

Payments for walks will be made when requested.

Invoices will have a payment date on them.

Late Payment will be subject to a fee.

All walks must be paid for as must any cancellation or admin fees.

We reserve the right to cancel any walks if payments are late.

If the owner fails to make a payment for the pet care, we reserve the right to charge a £10 admin fee and interest on the overdue amount at the rate of eight percent per annum above the current Bank of England base rate, accruing on a weekly basis from the due date until the date of the actual payment of the overdue amount, whether before or after judgment, and compounding quarterly.

 

Overpayments

Overpayments will automatically be added to another invoice. Upon request, they can be refunded within ten working days, with a £10 administration fee as long as there are no outstanding fees.

 

Teamwork

We work as a team and all clients must agree to any team member walking their dog, as necessary. However, we do try to keep walkers as consistent as possible.

 

The owner obligations and promises

Ensure that all payments are made promptly upon request

Ensure that their client portal is up to date

Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and send out any necessary equipment as required by the dog walker.

Ensure that the dog is free from kennel cough, fleas and worms and has all the necessary inoculations.

Ensure that the dog walker is informed if the dog has come into season.

Ensure that the dog walker has access to the dog upon arrival

Reimburse the dog walker for any costs or losses incurred due to their dog.

Inform the dog walker of any injury or odd behaviour that the dog may have.

Have a key safe, if this is not possible, give the dog walker two copies of the key so the backup walker can have one.

Have a suitable place to leave a dog after a good walk. They may get wet and dirty.

Have suitable insurance or a suitable way to pay any vet bill that are due to the dog type or caused by their dog.

Ensure the walks on the client portal are correct as soon as they are confirmed.

Do not contact any dog walkers that have left the employment of TLC for 24 months after you have given your notice to TLC.

 

The dog walker obligations and promises

To ensure that the dog’s safety is always paramount

Ensure that the owner’s property is always left as it was found

Ensure that all walks are completed in full or if this is not possible, inform the owner

Will do the walks confirmed on the client portal in the slot allocated.

Ensure that the walks are done within the company slot chosen and if this is not possible, inform the owner.

Ensure they have read the client portal fully and understand any notes the owner may have made.

All the dog walkers are positive trainers.

The dog walker will normally walk four or less dogs, and never any more than six at a time in emergencies. We are fully insured for six.

When the dog is wet and dirty, they will dry it off with an aquasorb. If there is a towel left out by the client, they will then towel down too.

All dogs will be insured under the company insurance for any accident that has happened because they were out with the dog walker and would not otherwise have happened.

 

Whole Agreement

This Dog Walking Contract and Pet and Owner's information sheet on the Petsitter Plus and the Veterinary Release Form attached constitute the sole and entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter hereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained therein. Any alteration to the agreement will be notified on the Client Portal and accessed to agree and can be viewed on the website prior to agreeing. The term of this document apply to all pets owned by the client, including any and all new pets that the customer obtains on or after the date this document was signed.
