When you go away, your dog deserves more than a place to stay. Our Home Boarding service provides a safe, comfortable, and loving family environment where your dog can relax, enjoy companionship, and continue their normal routine while you're away.

Unlike traditional kennels, dogs staying with us live as part of the household, receiving individual attention, affection, enrichment, and care throughout their stay. We take the time to get to know every dog as an individual, allowing us to provide a boarding experience that suits their personality, preferences, and needs.

Whether your dog loves adventures, enjoys socialising, or prefers a quieter pace of life, we aim to make their stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

Exercise and Enrichment

For suitable dogs, Home Boarding includes up to two hours of walks each day. These may take place as one longer walk or be divided across the day depending on your dog's age, fitness, personality, and individual requirements.

In addition to exercise, dogs enjoy enrichment activities, opportunities to play, social interaction where appropriate, and plenty of time to rest and relax.

We believe that a happy dog needs more than just physical exercise. Mental stimulation, companionship, routine, and the opportunity to simply enjoy normal home life are equally important.

All Home Boarding takes place within a fully Council Licensed Home Boarding premises, giving you peace of mind that your dog is being cared for in accommodation that meets the required standards for safety, welfare, and comfort.

Exclusive to TLC Clients

Because we believe dogs settle best with people and routines they already know, Home Boarding is primarily reserved for our existing dog walking and pet care clients.

This allows us to prioritise dogs who are already familiar with TLC, our team, and our approach to care.

If boarding spaces remain available, they may be offered to non-clients approximately one month before the required boarding dates.

As a home boarding service rather than a kennel, places are intentionally kept very limited. This allows us to maintain the personal, family-style environment that makes Home Boarding such a positive experience for the dogs in our care.

During school holidays, bank holidays, and peak travel periods, spaces can fill many months in advance. We therefore encourage existing clients to book as early as possible.

Important Information

All dogs must complete an assessment before boarding to ensure they are suitable for a home boarding environment and that we can meet their individual needs safely and appropriately.

We reserve the right to decline boarding where we believe we cannot provide the level of care required or where a dog's welfare may be compromised by the boarding environment.

When you're away, your dog won't just be staying with us — they'll be part of the family.
