Our Story – The TLC Dog Walking Journey
I’m Tori Lynn Crowther, and my journey with dogs began as a trainer over 30 years ago. In 2006, I recognised a growing need for professional dog walkers—at a time when dog walking wasn’t even considered a proper job in the UK! People were surprised when I told them what I did, but I saw the potential to offer a truly skilled and reliable service.
As demand grew, I began employing and training dog walkers to uphold the highest standards of care. Over the years, TLC Dog Walking has built a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and expertise.
Since lockdown, dog walking has become an oversaturated industry, with many inexperienced walkers offering cheap services to make extra money. Unfortunately, this has led to poor standards—dogs being walked in large groups, walked for less time than promised, or never let off the lead due to a lack of control and training. Many of these walkers won’t last long, but in the meantime, pet owners are left struggling to find a truly professional service.
At TLC Dog Walking, we do things differently. We are trained, insured, and highly experienced. Our GPS login and out system ensures full transparency, and our private Facebook updates let you see exactly who your dog was out with. With team leaders overseeing everything, we guarantee a smooth and professional service.
We also specialise in walking and training dogs with behavioural issues—the ones that other walkers won’t take on because they require too much effort. We believe every dog deserves proper care, structure, and enrichment, and we only walk small groups (typically 3-4 dogs) to ensure safety and quality. Unlike some walkers who take out 10 dogs at a time just to maximise profit, we prioritise the well-being of every dog in our care.
To continue improving my skills, I am currently completing an advanced dog training course, ensuring that TLC Dog Walking remains the gold standard in professional dog walking and training. Group Dog Walk
Our group dog walks provide the perfect balance of exercise, socialisation, and adventure in a safe and structured environment. Dogs are carefully matched based on their personality, energy levels, and walking style, allowing them to enjoy fun, enriching walks with compatible companions. Led by experienced handlers, our walks encourage positive social interactions, good manners, and plenty of physical and mental stimulation, helping your dog return home happy, fulfilled, and ready to relax.
Dog School On The Go
Our Dog School on the Go programme combines exercise, enrichment, and real-world training during your dog's regular walks, helping them build confidence, improve social skills, and develop better manners. We work on lead walking, recall, impulse control, basic obedience, and calm interactions, all using positive reinforcement and tailored to your dog's individual needs. It's the perfect way for dogs to enjoy their walks while learning valuable life skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Solo Dog Walk
Perfect for nervous, reactive, elderly, recovering, or independent dogs, these walks offer dedicated attention, gentle exercise, enrichment, and training in a calm, stress-free environment. We can focus on lead manners, confidence building, recall, or simply providing a peaceful walk at your dog's own pace. Solo walks are typically scheduled before 11:00am or after 2:00pm, as our mid-day period is dedicated to group walks. For many dogs, solo walks can also be a stepping stone towards joining one of our carefully matched small walking groups when they are ready.
Puppy Walk
Tailored to your puppy's age, development, and energy levels, these walks focus on building confidence, encouraging good social skills, and reinforcing important life skills such as lead walking, recall, basic obedience, and positive interactions with the world around them. Whether one-to-one or in carefully matched small groups, our puppy walks provide the perfect balance of exercise, learning, and fun to help your puppy grow into a happy, well-mannered adult dog.
Puppy Visit
Perfect for puppies who are too young for full walks, these visits include toilet breaks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, enrichment, social interaction, and gentle training reinforcement. We help support house training, build confidence, and encourage good habits in a safe and familiar environment. Each visit is tailored to your puppy's individual needs, ensuring they stay happy, stimulated, and well cared for while giving you complete peace of mind.
Additional Dogs
Every additional dog from the same household automatically receives a £4 discount per walk, and members of the TLC Family Membership Club enjoy an extra £2 discount, bringing the total saving to £6 per walk for each additional dog. As our membership is based on the household rather than individual dogs, families with multiple dogs can enjoy even greater savings throughout the year, alongside the added benefit of frozen prices for the duration of their membership.
TLC Family
Choose from £300 for 6 months or £500 for 12 months, and enjoy £4 off every dog walk, £2 off every day booking fee, plus an additional £2 discount for each additional dog. As a household-based membership, the whole family benefits from the savings, making it particularly cost-effective for multi-dog homes.
