Preparation for Your Walk

What to Leave Out for Your Dog’s Walk 🐾

To help ensure your dog has a safe, smooth and enjoyable walk, and to allow our walkers to work efficiently and safely, please make sure the following items are left out and easy to find before your dog’s scheduled walk.

🐾 Harness (Vehicle-Safe) Your dog must have a secure, well-fitted harness that is suitable for being fastened into our vehicle. This is essential for safe transport and helps prevent injury in the event of sudden braking. Please ensure the harness is in good condition and fits correctly.

🐾 Collar with Name TagIt is a legal requirement for dogs to wear a collar with an ID tag displaying your contact details. Even though your dog is under our care, this is vital for their safety at all times.

🐾 Lead Please leave out a strong, reliable lead that your dog is comfortable walking on. We recommend avoiding retractable leads unless previously agreed, as they can be difficult to manage safely in group settings.

🐾 TowelA towel is very helpful for drying muddy paws or wet coats after the walk, particularly during wet or muddy weather. This helps keep your home clean and your dog comfortable.

🐾 Coat (If Needed)If your dog requires a coat for warmth or protection in cold, wet or windy weather, please leave this out ready for us to use.

🐾 Treats (If Intolerant or on a Special Diet)If your dog has food intolerances, allergies or is on a specific diet, please provide suitable treats. These may be used for recall, focus, or general reinforcement during the walk.

🐾 Kong with Food Inside If your dog benefits from a calm distraction when we leave, please prepare a food-filled Kong or similar enrichment toy. This can help them settle and relax after their walk.

A few helpful reminders

• Please ensure all items are accessible and clearly visible before the walk.

• If anything is missing, damaged or no longer suitable, let us know as soon as possible.

• Having everything prepared helps us keep to schedule and focus fully on your dog’s safety and enjoyment.
